designupdates_and_maintenanceApp was fine until the latest update. Key buttons were taken away from the controller, like pause/play and fast fwd/rewind. It also now opens automatically to the screen with Amazon content, which puts the main reason for the app (the controller) as an after thought. At least offer user the ability to switch back to the old version.

sound_and_musicperformance_and_bugserror_handling_and_messagesrecent app update has lost the volume control function. and the app developer website help link given in Google Play leads to an Amazon product page for a fire TV stick currently unavailable. "Brand: Amazon Staging Product – Not for Retail Sale". the Good: there are no ads in the app and it was very convenient when the batteries in my remote died, but... the Bad: i really need the volume control.

designfeature_requestsfixed! __ This new UI is booty. The remote part of the fire TV app doesn't even cover the whole screen. And it used to open on the remote. which makes sense because I would use my phone as my remote for my fire TV. But now it opens on shows... If I want to watch TV shows I would use the prime video app. Not the fire TV app. I'm going to figure out how to revert because this is so ugly. at least make the remote fill the entire screen. when you click the remote tab it doesn't even go to the top.
